Built for the long way home.

Switch systems built to get you home

RuggedRay designs the electrical backbone of a serious overland build. Hardware, interface and app are defined in-house, in one order of priority: safe, then tough, then cool.

Switch panels — what we are known for

Switching is the hard part. That is where we build.

Anyone can source a light. A switch panel has to carry real current, survive engine-bay heat and vibration, and fail safely when something goes wrong at the far end of a track. Every RuggedRay panel gives each circuit its own current rating, so a winch, a compressor and a light bar never share a failure path.

Safety, made visible

Off-grid, a switch that fails isn’t an inconvenience.It’s a safety risk.

That is where every RuggedRay product starts.

So we design from failure modes rather than feature lists. Each of these is a decision you can check against the specifications, not a claim about how much we care.

  • No shared failure path

Every circuit carries its own current rating — 30A, 20A, 10A, 5A — and its own protection. A short on the light bar cannot take the compressor, the fridge or the winch trigger down with it.

  • It opens before the wiring does

Draw more than a channel is rated for and that channel opens — on a replaceable blade fuse on the button panels, electronically on the TC-SWT10. The loom never ends up being the fuse.

  • It will not strand you

Set the voltage at which non-essential loads shed. Three nights parked up with the camp lights on should not end with a truck that will not crank in the morning.

    TC-SWT10 — low-voltage cut-off

  • Water does not become a short

Sealed to IP65 and IP67. A river crossing and a pressure washer are ordinary events on a 4WD, not edge cases to be survived once.

Lighting to match

Four complete lighting lines, all running the same switching philosophy and the same emitters we would fit to our own rigs.
